As part of the Polish Dance Platform 2019, there will be held workshop Kinaesthetic Listening, accompanying the presentation of The Heart of a Factory performance. It is an accompanying event.
The Kinaesthetic Listening workshop invites the audience to physically experience an artistic work; it will open participants to the rhythms and frequencies of choreography and question how dance can be experienced through attention to our sensory responses.
Kinaesthetic Listening will be led by Verónica Garzón and Katarzyna Ustowska, graduates of the MA program in Contemporary Dance Education (MA CoDE) at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. The format is related to the Physical Introduction created and developed by Prof. Ingo Diehl in collaboration with the students of MA CoDE.
The workshop is open to anyone interested – experienced dancers and those new to the world of dance and movement.
Free admission, registration is not required.
The Polish Dance Platform aims to seek out and promote the most interesting original dance productions made in Poland or by Polish choreographers. The finale of the forthcoming edition of the Polish Dance Platform will be held on 5-8 September 2019 in Gdańsk.
