The moving story of the teenage drug addict Christiane F. and her peers — many of whom, unable to kick the habit, die tragically – has left a lasting impression. We Children From Bahnhof ZOO is a worldwide bestseller that continues to impress readers and moviegoers alike, and the story of its main protagonist has not lost any of its relevance. The performance We Children From Bahnhof ZOO is an impression on the main themes of the book and its film adaptation. As a means of expression, contemporary dance is capable of casting a new light on the story and revealing what may have escaped the public so far. The piece will be accompanied by the unforgettable music by David Bowie, as well as the alternative compositions by the Icelandic artist Valgeir Sigurðsson and the experimental pieces from Ólafur Arnalds and Alice Sara Ott’s The Chopin Project . The piece has been scripted, choreographed and directed by the outstanding choreographer Robert Glumbek, whose previous production at the Opera House at the Castle, i.e. the night of new choreographies titled Ogniwa, was awarded the Jan Kiepura Theatre Prize for the “best choreographer” (2014) and the “Amber Ring 2014” for the best piece of the season.
