Koncentrat Artistic Group was founded in 2005 in Warsaw as a creative group associating two choreographers and dancers, Anka Jankowka (co-founder of TRAVA Theatre Group and others) and Rafał Dziemidok, as well as lighting designer Ewa Garniec. Up until 2008 the group in its original form produced five premieres, adapted Rafał Dziemidok’s solo performance Dirty Pink and created an improvised project 3x I do not know (Dziemidok, Garniec). The Group's premieres include: 2moreless (Dziemidok/Jankowska, 2005), Potańcówka (Hoedown) (performance with tango fiends, 2006), Tell me I look divine (Dziemidok/Jankowska 2006), Nawrotnik (Magdalena Jędra's, 2007), Rabbit, Heath and Riding Contest (Dziemidok’s own solo, 2008). The performances were presented at the Berlin Studio (Prague) and in former theatres – Mały Theatre and Wytwórnia Theatre. They were of a conceptual-movement character and combined dance and performance.
Since 2009 the group has been led by Rafał Dziemidok, with Ewa Garniec as lighting, stage and costume designer. Since then the group has produced two performances, i.e. Floe (in collaboration with Nicole Seiler) and Nut.Squirrel (choreography created in collaboration with Jacek Owczarek, dance: Piotr Chudzicki, Rafał Dziemidok, Magdalena Jędra, Agnieszka Noster, Krzysztof Skolimowski, Aleksandra Ścibor). The group continue with experimental and open character works, however they are evolving gradually from an informal association of independent artists into a contemporary dance group. Two Koncentrat performances, 2moreless (DVD) and Rabbit, death and riding contest were performed at the Polish Dance Platform 2008, while Floe was selected by the prestigious European network Aerowaves to the TOP10 ranking in the field of choreography; therefore the performance was presented at Tokyo Performing Arts Market. The group operates under the patronage of the Warsaw Old Town Community Centre. Moreover, the group collaborated with Free Art Fusion Studio in Warsaw (doing regular contemporary dance workshops).
