Tomasz Wygoda – dancer, actor, choreographer. He graduated from the Faculty of History of the Education School in Kielce. In 1997–2003 he danced for Silesian Dance Theatre in Bytom. While dancing for this theatre, he performed in performances of Jacek Łumiński and Konrad Drzewiecki (Poland), Henrietta Hom (Germany), Jonathan Hollander (USA) and Paul Clayden (UK).
He won DanceWeb Scholarship in Vienna (2002).
Performed in USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada and Italy. With Wojciech Mochniej and Canadian-origin Melissa Monteros’ W&M Physical Theatre he co-created performance Made in Polska - museum of imagination (Calgary 2004).
He collaborated with Warsaw Bretoncaffe Theatre, performing in Slam out (2005) and Dancing Sarah Kane (2007).
As an actor, he regularly collaborates with Stary (Old) Theatre in Cracow, taking part in performances by Krystian Lupa (Zarathustra, 2005, Factory 2, 2008), Paweł Mickiewicz (un-guilt, 2004), Michał Zadara (Fedra, 2006). He also plays for Krzysztof Warlikowski (Cleansed, Współczesny Theatre in Wrocław, Polski Theatre in Poznań/TR Warsaw, 2002) and Agnieszka Olsten (Lynching, 2007, Samsara Disco, 2009, Polski Theatre in Wrocław).
The author of choreographies for: Barbara Wysocka (The Fall of the House of Ushers) Michał Zadara (Wałęsa. Funny story, and therefore very sad; Live; Ferda, The Card Index, The Dismissal of the Grecian Envoys. The Paul Street Boys, Genesis 2, Oresteia). Mikołaj Grabowski (Liberation, Tartuffe), Agnieszka Olsten (Nora, Othello, Samara Disco), Monika Pęcikiewicz (Hamlet), Wikrot Rubin (Atomized), Maja Kleczewska (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Krzysztof Garbaczewski (Nirvana, Demons).
The artist also created choreographies for most of the operas produced by the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw, including the abovementioned The Fall of the House of Ushers, directed by Barbara Wysocka (2009), Oresteia directed by Michał Zadra (2010 – both performances in Territories series) and for several Mariusz Treliński's productions (including foreign co-productions): Boris Godunov by Mussorgsky (Vilnius Opera and Ballet Theatre/TW – ON, 2009), Orfeo et Euridice (Bratislava Opera / TW – ON, 2009), Traviata by Verdi (2010) and Turandot by Puccini (2011). Moreover, together with Mariusz Treliński he worked abroad on La Bohème by Puccini (Washington Opera) and King Roger by Szymanowski, Aleko by Rachmaninoff and by Iolanthe Tchaikovsky (Marian Theatre in Petersburg).. In Petersburg Marian Theatre he created stage movement for Der Ring des Nibelungen by Wagner directed by Valery Gergiev/George Tsypin/Alexander Zeldin.
For Wrocław Opera he created stage movement for opera by Eugeniusz Knapik La libertà chiama la libertà (directed by Mikołaj Zadara).
In the season 2011/2012 the artist will continue his collaboration with Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw, creating choreographies for operas by Stanisław Moniuszko (Halka directed by Natalia Korczakowska) and Richard Wanger (The Flying Dutchman directed by Mariusz Treliński).
