Dominika Krysztoforska

Dominika Krysztoforska


Dominika   Krysztoforska – first soloist in the Polish National Ballet. She   graduated from the ballet school in Warsaw (1994). A year earlier, she won   the National Dance Competition in Gdańsk (1st Prize in the category of   juniors). After graduating from ballet school, she joined the ballet company   of the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw. In the first season she made her debut as   Odette in Swan Lake, universally   praised for her excellent abilities. In 1996 she won a Bronze Medal at the   2nd International Ballet Competition in Nagoya, Japan and the Woizikovsky   Medal awarded every year for the most talented young Polish dancer; she also   became a soloist. Two years later, she became the first soloist in the Teatr   Wielki – Polish National Opera.


In her   repertoire, she skilfully combines classical and contemporary parts with a   strong dramatic charge and exceptional plasticity of movement. In this way   she is successful not only in such parts as Odette or Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, but also M. in Carmen of Ek, Baroness Nadezhda von   Meck in Tchaikovsky by Eifman or   Blanchefleur in Tristan by Pastor.   In 2011 she was awarded a Silver Medal for Merit to Culture “Gloria Artis” in   Warsaw.


Most   important parts: Odette-Odile in Swan Lake, title part in Giselle,   Fairy of the Delicacy in The Sleeping Beauty, Snow Queen in The   Nutcracker, Marina in Zorba the Greek, Queen in The Three Musketeers, Mrs. T. in Jeux, Soloist in Carmina Burana, Wife, Fascist & Teacher in La dolce vita,   Phrygia in Spartacus, Baroness Nadezhda von Meck in Tchaikovsky, Soloist in Musagète, M. in Carmen,   Widow in Harnasie, Madame Larina in Onegin, Barbara Radziwiłł in Pan   Twardowski, Betsy in Anna Karenina, Blancheflor in Tristan,   Fryderyk's Mother & George Sand in Chopin, the Romantic Artist,   Fairy of the Delicacy & Cinderella in The Sleeping Beauty, Second   Air in In Light and Shadow, Fairy Godmother in Cinderella and   solo parts in Alpha Cryonia XePetite Mort and Third   Symphony “Song of the Night”.
