Trzaska began with yass – artistic and social movement which appeared in the late 80's and early 90's as a protest against fossilized Polish jazz. After the yass period, Trzaska created some concentrated and quiet records with Oleś brothers. He also played with the poets – Świetlicki and Andruchowycz – and co-created projects focused on music and literature with Andrzej Stasiuk. Currently he is the leader of Polish-Danish trio Volumen, international quartet Inner Ear, a member of Ken Vandermark’s orchestra Resonance, a member of Joe McPhee’s Magic and Shofar trio (with Raphael Rogiński and Maciej Moretti) playing Jewish music. Yet radical contemporary free jazz is what he finds the most fulfilling He travels the world, collaborating with the most famous improvisers: Peter Brötzmann, Joe McPhee, Ken Vandermark, Sev Swell, Peter Friis Nielsen, Clementine Gasser, Peter Ole Jorgensen, Michael Zerang, Franz Houtzinger, Jay Rosen, Dominique Duval, Mark Sanders.
